 Biography

Benny Law Kam-chuen, aka Benny Lo, was born in Hong Kong. Driven by a love for films, he entered the industry in 1995, working with director Andy Chin on the script for 02:00 A.M. (1997). Later he was introduced to director Wellson Chin by film composer Tony Wai and worked continuity on Chin’s 24 Hrs Ghost Story (1997). He then served as assistant director on The Poet (1998), a role he resumed on A War Named Desire (2000).

With Summer I Love You (2002), starring Richie Jen and Candy Lo, Law became a firsttime director and was nominated for Best New Director at the Hong Kong Film Awards. His sophomore effort is One Eye Open (2003), which Law also wrote.

Since 2007, Law had switched his career focus on Mainland China, working on the production of films, television and commercials.
