 Biography

Jimmy Sin Chi-wai was born in Hong Kong in 1968. In 1986, he served for a short time as assistant director and actor in films, switching to TVB in 1987 to work as production assistant. Not gaining a promotion in four years, he returned to film in 1990, working as producer and occasionally as actor. He joined ATV in 1991 as director, moving up to producer in 1995, responsible for such series as My Date with a Vampire (1998), The Mad Phoenix (1999) and My Date With a Vampire II (2000). His last television series was Zen Master (2001).

Sin also moonlighted in film, working as assistant director, producer and scriptwriter. In the mid-1990s, he directed two films, the thriller Infatuation (1995) and the romantic yuppie comedy Banana Club (1996).

Sin passed away in 2002 at age 34 of cancer.
