In the early part of his career, Jimmy Yang Yee-woo had worked as a producer at TVB. Later, he formed That’s Entertainment with Philip Chan and Manfred Wong. During this period, Yang also acted as line producer on other productions, including Edge of Darkness (1988), produced by Philip Chan, as well as Carry On Yakuza (1989), directed by Philip Chan, and the Manfred Wong-directed A Tale from the East (1990).
